Q. What is the difference between an Irish Soccer Camp and any other kind of camp I could send my child to?
A. C2C’s Irish way of coaching is based on our motto: “Let the kids play”.
Our coaches are trained on how to enable your kid to enjoy themselves at camp, while ensuring that they learn the fundamentals. The curriculum has been created to maximize your child's contact with the ball and to provide the maximum opportunity to learn.
T-shirt, ball, badge and window sticker - all included.
In addition to the technical’s of dribbling, passing, shooting, ball control and heading, your child will learn that nutrition is a key aspect in living healthy. Your child will also learn the more subtle skills of fair play, team bonding and leadership
There are no other camps in the US with only Irish coaches.
Q. What does my child need to bring to camp?
A. A fruit break, a packed lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, wearing sportswear (t-shirt and shorts), cleats and shin pads are recommended for our 11-14 year old campers
Q. Is my 4 year old able to participate in camp like this?
A. Most of our youngest campers are completely new to soccer and very often completely new to the camp environment. We are experts in making them feel at home. We encourage most parents of younger campers to stay for the 1st few minutes of camp. It is a joy to watch these parents leave for work or home with happy faces knowing their child is doing better than expected. Check out our specially formatted CUL program for 4-6 year olds.
Q. I am worried that my child is just a beginner soccer player and will be overwhelmed at camp?
A. Our C2C staff are the most friendly, well-trained and caring coaches around. There will be many more beginner soccer players at camp. See our testimonial page to see what one parent had to say on this. We have many more parents who have allowed us to share their contact info and would be only too willing to accept a call. Please contact us.
Q. My child’s good friend is coming to camp and there is a one-year split between them. Can they join the same group?
A. Absolutely, please mention this to the camp director at registration and we will accommodate you. However, if there is a large gap in ability between the two campers, it is best for both of them to be in separate age groups.
Q. I am the coach of a team; can you do something special for my players?
A. Absolutely, we can create a custom camp specifically for your team. Please contact us. We will discuss exactly what you are looking for and negotiate a discount price based on the number of players you have interested.
Q. How do I find a camp in my area?
A. Simply click on the Sign Up link
Q. What if I have phoned my local city and have further questions regarding the camp in my area?
A. Please contact C2C. Our administrative staff are ready to take your call or respond promptly via e-mail.
Q. Who should I call if the weather is bad during the camp?
A. Please contact your city.
Q. What happens if we sign up for camp late? Does my child still receive your C2C gear?
A. Your child will receive a ball, t-shirt, sticker and badge.
Q. Typically, how many children will work in a group with the one coach?
A. We aim for a coach to camper ration of 1:12. On occasions this may be higher.
Q. If I cancel due to a conflict in our plans, do I lose my entire registration fee?
A. No, each city has different regulations – call your city.
Q. I notice that local families in the area have the Irish coaches stay at their homes. How do I get involved in that process?
A. This is one of the most popular parts of our camp program. If you would like to host a coach for the week, please contact C2C directly. The sooner you contact them, the more chance you have of hosting!
Q. Do you offer child care before or after camp?
A. No our coaches are not able to provide this service.
